• Flavour — fresh and vegetal from the sencha with a naturally sweet, toasty warmth from the roasted rice; light-bodied with a hint of caramel in the aroma and a bright brownish-yellow cup
• High-Grade Japanese Sencha — steamed green tea made to Japanese specifications from Kagoshima Province; steaming preserves a clean, fresh, vegetative character and locks in EGCG antioxidants, vitamin E and L-theanine
• Roasted Rice — many grains pop during roasting — hence “popcorn tea”; adds natural sweetness, nuttiness and dietary fibre; also reduces the caffeine per cup as less tea leaf is needed
• L-theanine — the amino acid in green tea that promotes calm focus; reduces stress without causing drowsiness; works with caffeine to sharpen attention
• Digestive health — green tea reduces gut inflammation; brown rice adds fibre; together one of the better teas for digestive wellbeing
