About Teastones

In 2009 Sev Michaels could not find a good Earl Grey tea, 5 supermarket packs were tested and promptly binned which prompted her to set up her own tea company. Her son Nicholas joined the company and together Teastones has grown to be one of the largest family owned tea companies in Kent serving tea and selling online from their flagship store in Canterbury.

Concentrating on quality tea and ingredients we did not want herbal blending flowers, root and leaves which had been sprayed with chemicals. Therefore we looked for ethically sourced organic ingredients throughout the world , all natural and beautiful to provide the highest quality tea. We took away unnecessary packaging and added extras and still package our tea by hand and hand blend our herbal teas to create our wellness teas. 

Like most of us, Sev and Nicholas had jobs they didn't enjoy in the past. As Teastones grew, they vowed to create  a successful brand and product, but also a  place where their staff loved coming to work every day. Still to this day, with new offices and distribution centres  planned in London, France, Germany Teastones is committed to this core value. As a family-owned Independent English business we have a strong sense of community and a passion for quality natural herbal drinks to promote your health and wellbeing.
